People voice is the purest aspiration of their actual condition.
In this term, we believe that the viable strategy to work with local community is by implementing 3 approaches: social mapping, focus group discussion (FGD), and routine communal works.
In social mapping, we work as a team to gather data and information related to household socio-economic condition such as Monthly income rate, relationship status, career position, and number of family member.
The mapping is also done to group social interaction in the community; there would be 3 types of category: Thinker, Mover, and Follower.
By using this classification, we can collaborate to develop innovation and evaluate the programs held.
There would be also members of community which are not involved in program design such as provocateurs, free-riders, and new immigrants.
The idea development in our community then is discussed in weekly FGD in a forum called Pesantren Wirausaha (Entrepreneurship School) organized by Payungi University.
A forum acting as a channel to collect aspirations from traditional food vendors in Payungi as well as an approach to improve business skills.
Routine Communal work is the way we involve in real application of the idea.
Every week, together with people we conduct market cleaning, preparing new creative spaces, and organize the Sunday market.
This action is believed to be an act of involvement which drives us to understand and respect each other as a unity instead of acting as a structural command which create gaps.
